Pumping System SOP

 

Loading a new Coating/Solvent

 

  1.  Make sure the Pump corresponds to the desired circuit/guns.
  2. Turn the Air Regulator off.
  3. Open the Dump Valve.
  4. Open the Air Supply Valve.
  5. Turn Air Regulator up until the pump starts to cycle at a reasonable speed (1-2bar)
  6. Lift Pick Up Tube out of the current coating/solvent until pump starts to cycle quickly.
  7. Turn off Air Supply Valve.
  8. Wipe off Pick Up Tube.
  9. Place Pick Up Tube in new coating/solvent.
  10. Lift the Return Tube (still in old coating/solvent) until just slightly submerged.
  11. Open Air Supply Valve.
  12. Wait for large air bubble to exit the Return Tube.
  13. Turn off Air Supply Valve.
  14. Remove Return Tube and wipe off.
  15. Hold Return Tube in a Waste Bucket against the wall.
  16. Open Air Supply Valve.
  17. Wait for new coating/solvent to flow out with no air bubbles present.
  18. Turn off Air Supply Valve.
  19. Insert Return Tube in new coating/solvent.
  20. Open Air Supply Valve and let cycle for 30 seconds.
  21. Close Dump Valve.
  22. Increase Air Regulator to 5 Bar.
  23. Set Fluid Regulator to desired spray pressure based on proper coating coverage tests.
  24. (Optional) If a ReCirc Valve is present open to pump approx. 6 strokes/minute.
  25. You are now ready to spray new coating/solvent.
