This video explains how to re-thread paper on a Compact spray machine after a paper break when the paper has been pulled completely through the system. Following this procedure helps prevent tearing and repeated alarms.

Quick Guide

Preparation

  1. Remove the side shields for easier access.

  2. Locate and remove the paper break sensor bar (photo break bar).

Thread the Paper

  1. Route the paper:

    • Above the round bar

    • Below the square metal bar

    • Under and around the lower bar

    • Onto the conveyor belt

  2. Slightly loosen the infeed brake to allow easier feeding.

  3. Add slack as needed.

Feed Paper Through

  1. Tape the paper to the belt to hold position.

  2. Reconnect air to the back/take-up roll to prevent alarms.

  3. Clear alarms and start Manual Mode.

  4. Go to Conveyors and start the conveyor.

  5. Stop, remove tape, and restart as needed while maintaining light tension.

  6. Allow paper to feed under and around the take-up roll.

  7. Plug air back in and allow the paper to wrap several rotations.

Reassembly

  1. Reinstall the paper break sensor bar (must ride on top of the paper).

  2. Reinstall side shields.

  • Always remove the photo break bar before threading.

  • Ensure air is connected before running conveyors.

  • Proper routing prevents tearing and repeat alarms.
